Bully make amazing video with two camera angles and a microphone
Why?
Why do we bother with all the bells and whistles?
Why do we waste cash on CGI, green screens, special FX, sets, make up and atmosphere machines?
Why are we fascinated with choreographed dancing, fireworks, explosions, nudity, vulgarity and vomit.
Why does any band ever have to start a pledge campaign to fund the filming of their new video?
Why can’t they just be like Bully?
The Nashville rockers have just released one of the most affecting, brutal and intimate videos of the year, and all it took was two cameras, a microphone and one take.
Director Stewart Copeland captured the band’s frontwoman Alicia Bognanno in studio singing her absolute guts out on the band’s latest single ‘I Remember’ and what we’re left with is the true essence of a great song – the emotion, the energy and the performance.
‘I Remember’ is the first song to be lifted from Bully’s forthcoming debut album, Feels Like, which is out June 26.
Bully are also part of our all grrrl band mixtape dedicated to Waxahatchee’s upcoming Australian tour. You can check that out here.
