The gameplay footage from Fallout 4 is here and it’s pretty much everything we hoped for
It looks like the 200 year wait was totally worth it.
Footage of gameplay for Fallout 4 has finally been screened at E3 and it looks exceptional.
Apart from the super simple and quick character configuration (a nice novelty but not exactly the game’s main draw card) and other features like your name actually being spoken by characters within the game and your ability to have a baby that kind of looks like you, actual footage of the new post-apocalyptic Fallout world looks stunning.
According to the presentation delivered by Bethesda, your character will be the sole survivor of Vault 111 and will emerge in the ruins of Earth after being underground for 200 years.
From here you will go on to explore the realms of what was formerly Boston and the outskirts of the city, along with your trusty companion dog and your Pip-Boy in tow.
The gameplay footage looks incredibly sleek and smooth, and even the limited combat footage shown looks rife with detail. And as you can tell by the crowd reaction to the live presentation, everyone’s pretty psyched to see the V.A.T.S. system fire up.
The official release date has also been announced, so set your Vaults to open on November 10. In the meantime you can pre-order the game from the Bethesda website.
